October 28, 1915, Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, moved to the Dominican Republic and later to NYC; Puerto Rican; POW; Father José Paulino López; Mother Sofía Cintrón; Secondary Education, Attended Cooper Union; Single; Student, Clerk and Salesman; No Passport issued, Certificate of Identity, Domicile 18 East 109th Street, NYC; Arrived via Agullana on February 15, 1938; Sent as a replacement to the Brigade on March 13, 1938 joining at Batea; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln BN, Interpreter, Rank Soldado; Was with George Watt during the later stages of The Retreats; Captured at Gandesa circa April 8, 1938 during the Retreats and held at San Pedro de Cardeña; Exchanged April 22, 1939; Returned to the US May 20, 1939 aboard the President Roosevelt; WWII US Marine Corps; d. April 22, 2002, New Jersey, buried in National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
