August 9, 1898, Kiev, Russia); Education through 10th grade at Polytechnic High School in San Francisco; Single; Seaman and Student; YCL; Received Passport# 32912, San Francisco series, on December 31, 1937 which listed his address as 1903 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, California; Sailed January 12, 1938 aboard the Aquitania; Arrested upon arrival in France and after jail sentence he was scheduled for deportation; Friends in France assisted in his crossing of the Pyrenees; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on January 23, 1938; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN; Rank Soldado; KIA April 2, 1938 Gandesa, during the Retreats.
