February 17, 1915, Chicago, Illinois; CoB; Single; Jewish; Attended Roosevelt College, Chicago, Illinois and the University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois; ROTC 2 years; Single; Student; YCL 1935 (1934) Branch Executive Committee and CP November 1936; Received Passport# 332151 which listed his address as 5435 Kenwood, Chicago, Illinois Winnipeg; Sailed May 1, 1937 aboard the Britannic; Arrived in Spain on May 30, 1937 after surviving the sinking of the City of Barcelona; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau BN, Communications, Section Leader; Rank Sargento; Served at Teruel, Retreats, and the Ebro Offensive; WIA Ebro; Returned to the US on December 15, 1938 aboard the Paris; WWII attempted to enlist in the US Army was turned down due to illness; d. January 1, 1994, Lake Oswego, Oregon.
