A commemorative celebration marking the 79th anniversary of the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War and a historical musical tribute to the volunteers of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade. This year we honor the Association for the Recovery of Historical Memory in Spain, just as we celebrate the role played by California’s Spanish immigrants in the defense of the Spanish Republic.

Guest Speaker: California writer and documentary photographer David Bacon. A former union organizer, Bacon documents labor, the global economy, war, migration, and the struggle for human rights.

Songs of the Spanish Civil War by Velina Brown (vocals), Randy Craig (piano), Tony Marcus (guitar and mandolin), Barrett Nelson (guitar), Eduardo Robledo (vocals and guitar) and Richard Saunders (bass).
