With the authors Marc Aronson & Marina Budhos, moderated by Mercedes Gallego. Introductory remarks by Marina Garde.
In the 1930s, photographers Robert Capa and Gerda Taro risked their lives to capture images from the front lines of the Spanish Civil War. These photographs were published in magazines and shown in newsreels around the world, giving those at home a new perspective on the war and creating a new genre of photojournalism. Today, images of war continue to foster a connection between the conflict and the viewers, which would not be possible otherwise.
