This year the best film from the Official Selection, as determined by a distinguished jury, will receive the Harry Randall Award for best human rights documentary of 2014. This honor was created in memory of Harry W. Randall, Jr. (1915-2012), who served in the Abraham Lincoln Brigade during the Spanish Civil War as Chief Photographer of the Photographic Unit of the 15th International Brigade.
The 2014 jury is composed of Peter Coyote, Bryan Stevenson, and Pamela Yates.
Peter Coyote is an actor, author, director, screen-writer and narrator of films, theatre,television and, audio books.
Bryan A. Stevenson is the founder and Executive Director of the Equal Justice
Initiative. He is the 2014 laureate of the ALBA/Puffin Award for Human Rights Activism.
Pamela Yates is a documentary film-maker, human rights activist, and is a co-founder of Skylight Pictures.
