David Parsard is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Hispanic Studies at Brown University from Brooklyn, New York. He is currently completing a dissertation on religious conversion in medieval Castile and Catalonia. His areas of research include medieval chivalry, Neoplatonism,
and Renaissance humanism. Outside of his academic interests, David is also a writer of poems and short stories. As a hispanist and after having lived some time in Spain, David has an enduring interest in lo hispano.
