July 31, 1912, Patterson, New Jersey; Jewish; Polish American; father Abraham Goldberg (1886-?), mother Lena Goldberg (1886-?); College; Single; Student, Radio Worker, and Textile Worker; CP November 1930 and YCL 1928 state committee; Received Passport# 427266 on May 27, 1937 which listed his address as 157 Adams Street, Newark, New Jersey; Sailed June 12, 1937 aboard the Georgic; Arrived in Spain via Setcases on June 30, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau BN; XV BDE, Sanidad; Commissar; Rank Soldado; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; Married Miriam Heligman (1920-2018) married in 1940, twin daughters Ellen Goldberg (1948-) and Susan Goldberg (1948-); WWII US Army Airforce, enlisted August 14, 1942, Navigator; Post war he completed college and had a successful career as a financial planner; d. July 20, 1969, in a plane crash in Belair, Maryland, he was piloting a light plane owned by his company the Princeton Planning Corp.
