November 5, 1908 in San Diego; Chicago, Illinois; Jewish; CoB; Father Othelius Martin Alexandersen Strom (1867-1923), mother Martha Mattsson Anderson (1875-?); Single; CP 1937; Received Passport# 4995 (4972), Chicago series, on April 10, 1937 which listed his address as 2418 North Avers Avenue and 2622 75th Avenue both, Chicago, Illinois; Sailed April 28, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Arrived in Spain May 30, 1937; Injured in sinking of the City of Barcelona and spent 15 day in hospital, shell shocked; He deserted upon reaching Albacete and was arrested in Valencia on July 11, 1937; Repatriated by the medical commission; Returned to the US on September 24, 1937 aboard the DeGrasse; d. May 4, 1986, Chicago, Illinois.
