July 28, 1911 (June 16, 1912), Manati, Puerto Rico; Puerto Rican; father Citado Ocasio, mother Angela Garcia, (father deceased); High School education, 1 year college; New York National Guard (No prior military service); Single; Machinist, WPA; No party affiliation, Julio Antonio Mella Club; Received Passport# 458281 on July 9, 1937 which listed his address as 43 East 112th Street, NYC; Sailed July 21, 1937 aboard the Berengaria; Arrived in Spain via Espolla on July 31, 1937; Trained in the Battalion of Instruction No. 2; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion, Estado Mayor as an interpreter, and machine gunner; Rank Soldado; Served at Fuentes de Ebro, Teruel, Seguro de los Banos, Cortes de Aragon, Argenta, Montalbán, Cuevas Labradas, and Ebro; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; Married Lorraine A. Monteiro in 1966 in NYC; d. August 1975, Islip, Suffolk, New York; Stated on two different forms that he arrived in Spain on July 4, 1937.
