Stinson, Chester Stewart. (E.); b. December 27, 1900, Santa Barbara, California; 7 years college in US and Paris; Married; Artist, Journalist, and Life Insurance Salesman; CP 1933 (1934); Received Passport# 25615, San Francisco series, on March 16, 1937 which listed his address as 381 Green Street, San Francisco, California; Arrived in Spain April 14, 1937; Served with the XV Brigade, Washington Battalion, Co. 3, Section 2; Lincoln-Washington Battalion; Rank Soldado; While in 2nd lines at Jarama became very ill; Noted as always drinking, demoralizing influence, no front service, in January 1938 was at Tarazona; Returned to the US on September 24, 1938 aboard the President Harding; d. April 12, 1953, Ventura California, buried in Santa Barbara Cemetery, Santa Barbara, California.
