Biography

k-Henry, Donald Eugene (Henry, Donald Wallace; Scott, Donald Eugene); b. November 20, 1917, Dodge City, Kansas; Attended the University of Kansas; Single; Student; YCL 1935; Received Passport# 431495 on June 2, 1937 which listed his address as 919 Avenue B, Dodge City, Kansas; Sailed June 16, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Arrived in Spain via Espolla on June 30, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion; Sent to Lincoln-Washington BN, medic; Wounded in action on September 2nd at Belchite while treating a casualty; He was hit in the chest with a bullet puncturing a lung; Henry was evacuated to a front line hospital at la Azaila; He died of his wound in hospital on September 4, 1937.
