August 2, 1908, Brooklyn, New York; Jewish; CP 1932; Received Passport# 357947 on December 18, 1936 which listed his address as 10319 114th Street, Richmond Hill, New York; Sailed December 26, 1936 aboard the Normandie; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln BN, Co. 1, Adjutant, Promoted to Commander Co. 2; Rank Teniente; WIA February 23, 1937, Jarama; Spent the remainder of his time in Spain in hospital; Repatriated medical; Returned to the US on October 13, 1937 aboard the Normandie; WWII US Army, 29th Infantry Division, Co. C, 121st Combat Engineers, attached to 116th Infantry Regiment; Landed at Omaha Beach on D-Day, was in the same unit as Al Warren; d. August 27, 1948, buried in Wellwood Cemetery, West Babylon, New York.
