June 2, 1913, Covina, Los Angeles, California; Single; Received Passport# 33125, San Francisco series, on January 12, 1938 which listed his address as 330 5th Street, Venice, California; Sailed January 28, 1938 aboard the Lafayette; Arrived in Spain via Agullana on February 3, 1938; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN; Rank Soldado; Reported MIA Retreats with note, "marcho hosp. Valls"; Note by Anthony de Maio indicates Wilson was arrested attempting to cross the border into France on March 29, 1938; Returned to the US on May 26, 1938 as a stowaway aboard the Washington; d. June 22, 1976, Sonoma, California; In Bessie’s Men in Battle Wilson is called “Hoover.”
