Valls"; Note by Anthony de Maio indicates Wilson was arrested attempting to cross the border into France on March 29, 1938; Returned to the US on May 26, 1938 as a stowaway aboard the Washington; d. June 22, 1976, Sonoma, California; In Bessie’s Men in Battle Wilson is called “Hoover.”
