April 30, 1901, Cedar Valley Township, Minnesota (Flood Wood, MN); Finnish American; Father Oscar Aho, sister Elizabeth Aho; Education through the 6th grade; Single; Laborer and Timber Worker; CP 1936 and IWW 1920, Timber Worker Union; Received Passport# 470797 on August 17, 1937 which listed his address as Route 1, Box 33, Floodwood, Minnesota, and Duluth Minnesota; Sailed October 2, 1937 aboard the Georgic; Arrived in Spain via Espolla on October 15, 1937; Entered the IB on October 21, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN, MG Co.; XV BDE, Special MG Co.; Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion, MG Co., last unit Brigade MPs; Served at Lecera, Caspe, Gandesa and the Ebro Offensive; Rank Soldado; WIA Gandesa and again at Corbera; Returned to the US on December 15, 1938 aboard the Paris; d. February 10, 1940, Saint Louis, Minnesota; Buried in Ely Cemetery, Ely, St. Louis County, Minnesota.
