Lutz (1873-?); Attended technical High School for 4 years and college 1 year; ROTC 1 year; Single; Electrician (working for the US Department of Agriculture); CP 1936, section agit. prop.; Received Passport# 361635 on January 14, 1937 which listed his address as 101 (104) Winthrop Avenue, Moorestown, New Jersey; Sailed January 23, 1937 aboard the Champlain; Arrived in Spain on February 1, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln BN, Commissar; appointed Intendencia Commissar on September 15, 1937 by Dave Doran; BDE Estado Mayor Paymaster, last unit (September 1938) BDE, Estado Mayor; Rank Teniente; Served at Jarama, Brunete, Quinto, Belchite, Teruel, and Retreats; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; Married, two sons Carl and Brion; d. May 28, 1988, West Jersey Hospital, Voorhees, Camden, New Jersey.
Siblings: brothers Elwood K. Lutz (1900-?), and John Lutz (1903-?), sisters Irene Lutz (1913-?), and Louise “Minnie” Lutz Randolph (1913-?).
