Joachim, Hans b. circa 1906, Germany, To the US in 1924 from Berlin, Germany; Clerk; CP; Received Passport# 26922, San Francisco series, on March 29, 1937 which listed his address as 1256 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, California; 32 years old; Sailed April 5, 1937 aboard the Britannic; Arrived in Spain April 27, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Washington BN, Estado Mayor; Lincoln-Washington BN, Estado Mayor; Deserted; Returned to the US on December 23, 1937 aboard the Normandie; Worked his way up to VP and Chief Executive Officer position for American Tansul Company, company mined a mineral used in commercial manufacturing of beer; d. June 17, 1948, killed in the crash of a United Airlines flight; buried Home of Eternity Cemetery, Oakland, California; Divorced, former wife Ethel V. Joachim, daughter Nancy Joachim.
