Heus, Carl b. March 9, 1904, Unspringen, Germany; To the US 1923; Served in the Russian Revolution, Red Army, 1919-1921, Rank Private; Driver and Carpenter; CP Germany 1922, Union of Carpenters; Domicile Denver, Colorado; Arrived in Spain in October 1936; Served with the 5th Army Corps; Served at Teruel, Brunete, Caspe, and Ebro Offensive; Was jailed in late summer or fall of 1937 unspecified charges; Spoke German, Russian, Spanish and English; In November 1938 was awaiting repatriation.
