June 2, 1915, New York; Father Sam Hyman (1885-?), mother Sara Hyman (1890-?); Elementary school education; Single; Newsboy, Vendor in Kiosk; YCL, Retail Newstand Clerks Union CIO; Received Passport# 534182 on May 18, 1937 which listed his address as 212 Henry Street, NYC, and 8516 85th Street, Woodhaven, Long Island, New York; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on June 7, 1938; Served with the XV BDE, Estado Mayor, Instruction, as of June 1938, Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN, Co. 4, Rank Soldado; WIA August 2, 1938, Ebro Offensive, hit in the ankle, Hospital Valcarca August 3-14, and Mataro August 14-September 6; Served at Ebro Offensive; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; WWII US Army enlisted January 13, 1942, discharge September 1, 1945; d. April 15, 1983, Maspeth, Queens, New York, buried in Mount Zion Cemetery.
