November 10, 1903, Brooklyn, New York; Father Simon Epstein, mother Rose Prensky; Attended Cornell University; ROTC; Married (to Nurse Ruth Epstein (1906-1996); Office Worker, Shipping Clerk; CP 1934, Building and Maintenance Workers, Department Store Employees Union, CIO; Director Union Retail Employee of West County? #178 CIO; Received Passport# 9635, New York series, on June 28, 1938 which listed his address as 242 East 19th Street, NYC; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on September 8, 1938; Served with the XV BDE, Medical Service, but arrived at the front after the withrdawl of volunteers, sent to Mataro Hospital, Hospital Commissar; Returned to the US on December 31, 1938 aboard the President Harding; d. February 10, 1998, NYC.
