January 29, 1911, Brooklyn, Kings County, New York; Hungarian American; father David Weiss (b. 1869, Hungary-1925?); Served in the NY National Guard, 245th Coast Artillery, Battery L, enlisted September 22, 1936, dropped as a deserter on February 4, 1937; Bookkeeper; CP 1936; Received Passport# 368548 on February 20, 1937 which listed his address as 173 Floyd Street, Brooklyn, New York; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on October 30, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Washington BN, Co. 1, Section 2; Lincoln-Washington BN; Rank Soldado; Served at Brunete; Wounded in leg; Repatriated medical; Returned to the US on October 13, 1937 aboard the Britannic; d. March 7, 1978, Brooklyn, New York.
