April 8, 1914 (or August 4) Marlow, Oklahoma; Mother Maggie Hill; High School through the 9th grade, and two years apprenticeship to become masseuse; 6 years US Army, November 1931 to January 1937, 38th Infantry Regiment, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Rank Sergeant; Single; Student, Cook, Masseur, baseball player, and various jobs; CP January 1937, International Hod Carriers, Local 612 AFL; Received Passport# 408842 on May 11, 1937 which listed his address as 527 1⁄2 West California Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Lawton, Oklahoma; Sailed July 24, 1937 aboard the Brittanic; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on August 6, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion, Co. 1; Rank Sargento; Served at Aragon, Teruel, Segura de los Banos, Retreats, and Ebro Offensive; Killed in action September 9, 1938, Corbera, Ebro Offensive.
