October 19, 1915, Dearing, Kansas; father Hans Reetz (1874-1953), mother Mary Reetz (1884-1961) Elementary education; Single; Surveyor for the CCC in Quinton, Oklahoma; CP January 1, 1937; Received Passport# 464194 on July 22, 1937, which listed his address as Watonga, and Quinton Village, both Oklahoma (G. D. Clinton, Oklahoma); Sailed August 11, 1937 aboard the Queen Mary; Arrived in Spain via Espolla on August 21, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN, Co. 3; Deserted and was placed in BDE Disciplinary Co., July 13-August 8, 1938; Then to Mackenzie-Papineau BN, Co. 1, later Co. 2; Served at Teruel, Retreats, and the Ebro Offensive; Returned December 15, 1938 aboard the Paris; WWII US Army, WIA April 1944, discharged November 1944; d. November 22, 1975.
