March 10, 1914, NYC; No prior military service; Married (Single); Food Worker; CP 1935, Cafeteria Workers Union Local 302; Received Passport# 376033 on March 18, 1937 which listed his address as 78 Bay 13th Street, Brooklyn, New York; Sailed March 24, 1937 aboard the Amsterdam; Arrived in Spain on April 1, 1937; Arrived in Albacete and entered the IB on April 14, 1937; Served with the Albacete Auto Park, transferred July 6, 1937 to International Brigade Auto Park in Madrid, to Tarazona December 21, 1937; February 12, 1938 transferred to XV BDE, Estado Mayor; Later with Pontineers (Engineer Bridging); Served at Brunete, Belchite, Retreats (Caspe and Batea), and Ebro Offensive; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia.
