February 25, 1892, Budapest, Hungary; Hungarian American; father John Grecs, mother Katerina Bilicz; Married Kate Imely (1902-1978) on February 11, 1928, Cuyahoga, Ohio; Carpenter and Cabinet Maker; CP 1921, Spanish CP; Carpenters union local 108 AFL, and Worker’s Federation of Cleveland, IWO; Received Passport# 368159 on February 18, 1937 which listed his address as 2931 East 11q1th Street, Cleveland, Ohio and 1010 Salter Way, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania (actual address 2937 East 111th, Cleveland, Ohio); Sailed March 10, 1937 aboard the Washington; Arrived in Spain on April 22, 1937; Trained with the 2nd Co. of Instruction (8 days); Served with the 2nd Group, 14 Battery, Artillery (John Brown Battery), October 20, 1937 to October 21, 1938; Rank Soldado; Returned to the US on February 4, 1939 aboard the President Harding; d. December 20, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio.
