October 20, 1888, Smolensk, Russia, to the US 1906; Russian American; AMB; Father Solomon Highkin, mother Fania Highkin, both deceased; HS Education and technical school for dental technicians; Served in the US Army during WWI as a dental technician, rank Sergeant; Single; Dental Technician; CP July 1922, Spanish CP, Dental Equity Technicians Union; Received Passport# 452062 on June 26, 1937 which listed his address as 1 Convent Avenue, NYC (32nd and York Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania); Sailed June 30, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Arrived in Spain on July 11 (17), 1937; Served with the Republican Medical Service, Villa Paz and Casillejo; Commissar for Hospitals; Returned to the US on May 16, 1938 aboard the Normandie; WWII Taught Dental Technicians (military?); d. June 22, 1971, NYC, buried in New Montefiore Cemetery, West Babylon, Suffolk County, New York,.
