Cohen, Leon (Leonard Cahn; Cohen, Eli); b. February 17, 1914, Chicago, Illinois; father Robert Cohen (1882-1933), mother Lena Glassenberg (1887-1926); Russian American; High School in Tucson then attended the University of Arizona; Single; Journalist; CP 1937; Received Passport# 33248, San Francisco series, which listed his address as 5355 ½ La Cresta, Los Angeles, California, and Hollywood, California (145 Santa Rita Avenue, Tucson, Arizona); Arrived in Spain via Agullana on February 20, 1938, and entered the IB on February 28, 1938; Served with the Artillery, 11th Regiment, 2nd Group, 14th Battery (John Brown Battery), 155mm Guns; In a newspaper article dated November 1938 he states was in XV BDE, infantry Returned to the US on September 21, 1938, aboard the Ile de France.; Married Karen Sange (1940-?); d. November 3, 1988, Belvedere, Tiburon, Marin County, California.
Siblings: brothers Bernard David Cahn (1907-1992), Simon Seymour Cahn (1912-1996), and Sidney Cahn (1910-1981).
