Ginsberg, Louis (Ginsburg); 28 years old; Never in Spain; Married (separated for 2 years) Wife Fay, son Sidney; Received Passport# 365364 on February 4, 1937 which listed his address as 1067 57th Street, Brooklyn, New York (article states 336 Bristol Street - wife’s address); Sailed February 10, 1937 aboard the Washington; Wife contacted authorities and claimed that he abandonded her; State Department had Ginsburg apprehended when the ship docked in Le Havre and sent back to the US, In court his wife admitted they had been separated for two years and the judge advised the jury to acquit Ginsberg.
