Noble; ROTC at University of Arkansas 1929-1930 1 ½ years; University of Arkansas 1929-1930, Illinois State Normal University ½ year 1931, and Commonwealth College 2 years (was organizer of CP unit in school 6 months in 1934); Single; Mechanic; CP December 1931 (1933, unit organizer), YCL 1935-1937, UAW 1936-1937, CIO; Received Passport# 418786 on June 22, 1937 which listed his address as 252 Fransworth Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, and 2537 Arnsworth Street, NYC (Higginson, Arkansas; Sailed July 21, 1937 aboard the Berengaria; Arrived in Spain via Espolla on July 31, 1937; Trained at Tarazona for one week before being sent to Albacete; Served with the Albacete Auto Park, Usine no. 1, Mechanic; After the Retreats he was transferred to to XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN, Co. 1, as a rifleman in June 1938, a month later he moved to Transmissions before being pulled out of the ranks in August to set up an auto shop for the BDE Auto Park; Rank Soldado; Returned to the US on December 15, 1938 aboard the Paris; WWII civilian; d. October 5, 2002.
