November 11, 1915, Czechoslovakia; Czechoslovakian American; Father Michael Sramek (1890-1965), mother Anna Drahos (1893-1989); High School education; Single; Welder; YCL 1929, unit org.; Received Passport# 418906 on May 29, 1937 which listed his address as 3185 East 81st Street, Cleveland, Ohio; Sailed May 26, 1937 aboard the Vollendam; Arrived in Spain via Setcases on June 15, 1937; Served with the XV Brigade, Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion; Rank Soldado; Severely WIA; Returned to the US on August 4, 1938 aboard the Manhattan; Married Ida Cohan (1915-?) on January 27, 1940; d. June 9, 2009, Long Beach, California.
Sibling: sister Mary Sramek (1915-?); later married Lillie F. Sramek.
