Schneider, Murray. b. September 14, 1905, Pzemysal, Austria; Austrian American; High School education; 2 years prior military service; Married (Single); Seaman and Driver; CP 1932 (1933) and Socialist Party prior to 1932; Received Passport# 369068 on February 24, 1937 which listed his address as 2725 (2125) Sedgwick Avenue, Bronx, New York; Sailed March 10, 1937 aboard the Washington; Arrived in Spain on April 2, 1937; Attended OTS up to the Brunete Campaign; Served with the XV Brigade(?); WIA Brunete, light wound, noted as showing cowardice and appeared to have hallucinations while at hospital, wrote rotten demoralizing material through mail and slandered leadership, mail stopped, was in Tarazona in January 1938, placed in charge of canteen at Tarazona; Arrested for theft and speculation; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; d. October 15, 1987, San Francisco, California.
