Krist, Nikolas Peter b. August 23, 1895, Crete, Greece; Greek American; Elementary and high school education; No prior military service; WPA; Food Dispenser; CP 1937; Received Passport# 368496 on February 10, 1937 which listed his address as 3225 Orange Street, and 5518 Paris Avenue, both Chicago, Illinois; Sailed February 20, 1937 aboard the Ile de France; Arrived in Spain on March 7, 1937; Served with Intendencia at Almeria, IB Hospital at Benisa and 45^th Division Sanidad, XII BDE, Driver and Ambulance Driver; Frontline service during the Ebro Offensive with the 45^th Division; Returned to the US on December 15, 1938 aboard the Paris; d. November 15, 1945, Warren, Ohio, buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Trumbull County, Ohio.
