June 29, 1895, Tampa, Florida (Havana); Cuban American; Attended a prep school, earned his BA in college and attended Dental school for 2 years; Single (Married in Spain); Hospital Attendant; Domicile 201 (210) W. 112th Street, NYC, USA; CP, Club Julio Mella, and Spanish Workers Club; Sailed January 16, 1937 aboard the Paris; Arrived in Spain January 27, 1937; Served with the XV Brigade, Lincoln Battalion, Co. 1, Centuria Antonio Guiteras, later Sanidad Battalion Sanitario and Sanitario in Military Clinic No. 17; Evacuation, as an Interpreter; Rank Sargento (March 10, 1937); Served at Jarama, Brunete, Quinto, Villanueva del Pardillo, Belchite, Fuentes de Ebro, South (Pozo Blanco, Bellalcazar), Belchite, and Ebro; WIA three times February 20, 1937 (hospital 16 days), July 12, 1937 (in hospital 12 days) and October 26, 1937 (in hospital 45 days); After leaving Spain was in Camp de Gurs; Planned to go to the US; By August 1939 had returned to Cuba; Spoke Spanish and English.
