Reed, Peter LeRoy. b. April 13, 1915; Father O. C. Reed, mother Dora Reed; 10 years education; US Army (?); 1st Ambulance Group, Texas, 1933-36; Single; Driver; Spanish CP, January 1938; Received Passport# 403219 on May 3, 1937 which listed his address as 1113 Dillon Street, St. Louis, Missouri, and El Paso, Texas; Sailed May 8, 1937 aboard the American Importer; Arrived in Spain via Llansa on June 1, 1937; Served with the 45th Division, XII Brigade Auto Park until July 1, 1937, per a report by A. de Maio Reed “...was arrested for abandoning his truck and papers and going to Valencia in an effort to leave the country.”... “He was recommended for expulsion from the country.” Instead he was jailed and transferred to 35th Battery, 4th Group, Rank Cabo; Served at Huesca, Teruel, and Levante; Returned to the US on February 4, 1939 aboard the President Harding; WWII Armed forces.
