k?-Cooperman, Philip 28 years old; 3 years prior military service; Bacteriologist; CP 1934; Received Passport# 356256 on December 7, 1936 which listed his address as 345 East 18th Street, NYC; Sailed December 26, 1936 aboard the Normandie; Arrived in Spain on January 6, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln BN, Staff Officer and BN Secretary; Killed in action date and place unknown; Spoke English, German and Yiddish. (Note: A Phillip Cooperman returned to the US on November 11, 1937 aboard the Washington, single, ship’s records indicate he boarded at LeHavre on November 1 and was born July 13, 1910, NYC; Address 365 East 18th Street, NYC [address is very close]; It is likely that he returned home based on the repatriation list and the ship log.)
