Crane, Philip (Rotter, Jacob/John; Phillip, Conway); b. March 21, 1910, NYC; 4 years college; Single; Student and Director of United Children's Organization, a CP children’s school; YCL 1930, Pioneers; Received Passport# 366424 which listed his address as 411 Hinsdale Street, Brooklyn, New York; Arrived in Spain March 17, 1937; Served with Transport; Noted as a poor element and recommended for deportation, Deserted with Abramofsky and Wallach November 14, 1937; Caught in Gestapo net and jailed in Albacete; Returned to the US on October 25, 1938 aboard the Ile de France.
