Hill, Preston Clair B. September 11, 1902, Zephyr, Brown, Texas; Single; Building Worker and Mechanic; CP 1933 (1934), unit organizer; Received Passport# 25591, San Francisco series, on March 15, 1937 which listed his address as 325 1⁄2 (352 1⁄2) West 7th Street, Long Beach, California; Sailed March 31, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Arrived in Spain on April 16, 1937; Served with the 35th Division Transport, Rank Sargento; Became ill with typhus in October 1937 and was hospitalized in Vals; After his release from the hospital he was assigned to the Service Sanitaire of the 35th Division; After the Retreats he worked in hospitals in Barcelona and Vich; Returned to the US on October 23, 1938 aboard the Britannic; d. June 3, 1990, Los Angeles, California.
