Hill, Preston Clair B. September 11, 1902, Zephyr, Brown, Texas; Single; Building Worker and Mechanic; CP 1933 (1934), unit organizer; Received Passport# 25591, San Francisco series, on March 15, 1937 which listed his address as 325 1⁄2 (352 1⁄2) West 7th Street, Long Beach, California; Sailed March 31, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Arrived in Spain on April 16, 1937; Served with the 35th Division Transport, Rank Sargento, became ill with Typhus in October 1937 and was hospitalized in Vals, after his release from the hospital he was assigned to the Service Sanitaire of the 35th Division, After the Retreats he worked in hospitals in Barcelona and Vich; Returned to the US on October 23, 1938 aboard the Britannic; d. June 3, 1990, Los Angeles, California.
