February 13, 1907, Syracuse, Hamilton County, Kansas; father Ray Jackson, Sr. (1883-1961), mother Nellie Carey (1884-1973); May have served in the Marines from July 13, 1931; Graduated from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas in 1927, Gamma Alpha Fraternity, and Pi Gamma Nu (National Social Science Honor Society); Farmer; CP 1936; Received Passport# 497149 on February 9, 1938 which listed his address as Syracuse, Kansas; Sailed aboard the Ile de France arriving in Havere, France on February 18, 1938; Arrived in Spain via Agullana on February 23, 1938; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN; Rank Soldado; Killed in action April 1, 1938, Gandesa, during the Retreats.
Siblings: brother Hugh C. Jackson (1909-1992), sister Dorthy L. Jackson (1911-1992).
