May 23, 1915, New Britain, Connecticut; Father Arthur David Carnell (1883-1956), mother Jennie Martha Gaylord (1884-1917); Single; Graduated with honors from High School; Punch Press Operator; CP; Received Passport# 368175 on February 19, 1937 which lists his address as 10326 Crestwood Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio; Sailed March 10, 1937 aboard the Washington; Arrested while attempting to cross into Spain and jailed for 30 days; Served with the XV BDE, Washington BN; Killed in action July 10, 1937, Brunete.
