January 4, 1893, Vejleby, Denmark to the US May 5, 1914, Naturalized June 1918, Calhoun County Court, Battle Creek, Michigan; Danish American; Father Jacob Sorensen (b.?-1932); 8th grade education; Served in WWI; Single; Carpenter and Plasterer; CP 1931 (1932), County Committee, Carpenter Union AFL; Received Passport# 439001 on June 10, 1937 which listed his address as 1606 Flett Avenue, Racine, Wisconsin; Sailed June 30, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on July 11, 1937; Trained at Tarazona and worked in the Cantina; During training was part of the Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion, to the front on March 17, 1938; Served with the Lincoln-Washington Battalion; Rank Soldado; Killed in action April 3, 1938, Gandesa, during the Retreats.
