Tatham; No prior military experience; High School education, Single; Seaman (NMU) and Miner; CP December 1935, ISU, NMU; Received Passport# 473206 on August 27, 1937 which listed his address as Rock Hills, South Carolina, and 1702 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland; Sailed September 1, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Arrived in Spain via Massanet on September 14, 1937 over Pyrenees; Trained at Tarazona; Served with the XV BDE, Lincoln-Washington BN, Co. 1; BDE MG Co.; 35th Division, MG BN; Rank Cabo, promoted to Sargento; Served at Teruel, Segura de los Baños, Retreats (Caspe, Belchite, Gandesa), and the Ebro Offensive; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia; d. January 29, 1977, Rock Hill, South Carolina, buried in Forest Hills Cemetery, Rock Hill, South Carolina.
