Schutt, William. (Wihel Schutt); German American; Single; Seaman; CP 1933; Domicile Waterton, Connecticut; 30 years old; Sailed April 10, 1937 aboard the Rotterdam; Arrived in Spain on May 5, 1937; Served with the XV Brigade, Lincoln Washington Battalion, Co. 1; Served at Quinto and Belchite; WIA in upper right arm July 23, 1937 during fascist counter attack that broke lines, in hospital 11 and Villa Paz from July 23 to August 15; Then to DECA, 17 Battery, February 10, 1938; To 45th Division Artillery, March 28, 1938, Teruel and the Retreats; To XV Brigade, 58 Battalion (Lincoln-Washington Battalion), Co. 1, May 10, 1938, serving at the Ebro Offensive; WIA in hip July 27, 1938 while storming a hill; Rank Cabo; In hospital at Mataro.
